The purpose of this committee is to attract and retain the best talent into our profession and to ensure all structural engineers have a clear pathway to success in their careers.

SE3 Happy Hours - Monthly

Starting in June 2021, the SE3 Committee began hosting monthly happy hour events to provide an opportunity for
networking and discussions related to engagement and equity in the Dallas area structural engineering community.
Keep an eye out for the next event and come meet some new people!

Generational Differences Panel Discussion - November 2022

The SE3 Committee hosted a panel discussion with 5 structural engineers at varying levels in their careers to gain different perspectives on topics like work-life balance, communication styles, managing burnout, career development, and more. 

Attendees had an opportunity to ask questions both in-person and anonymously during the event.

Speed Mentoring Event - May 2022

The SE3 Committee hosted this event to provide younger engineers the ability to engage with experienced firm leaders. 
Our attendees rotated around the room in small groups and met with 4 mentors who are all experienced
structural engineering firm leaders in the Dallas area. 

The purpose of this program was to engage individuals working within our profession and
to help facilitate and promote the development of strong mentorship relationships.

Joint YM + SE3 Pickleball Event - February 2022

The SE3 Committee co-hosted an event at Chicken-N-Pickle in Grand Prairie with our Younger Member Committee.
Attendees enjoyed great food, drinks, and networking while trying to stay warm playing pickleball!
