&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: 14px;"&gt;&lt;span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 15px;"&gt;Geotechnical engineering is a practical science and among the “dirtiest” of the civil engineering fields.&amp;nbsp; Your geotechnical engineering report contains a wealth of information you may not know is in there that can help you with your designs.&amp;nbsp; Though the geotechnical subsurface investigation is too often looked at as a “check-the-box” exercise in early development especially in our region of North Texas, your geo report is much more.&amp;nbsp; This presentation will walk through the parts of a geotechnical subsurface investigation report and provide some background as well as highlight the important parts. &amp;nbsp;Additional topics include how to use information in the report, key items for our region, the design team relationship with geotechnical engineers, and considerations during construction.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: 14px;"&gt;&lt;span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 15px;"&gt;Vince was born and raised in Miami, Florida then completed his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he also played varsity water polo.&amp;nbsp; Between graduating from UMass in 1999 and moving to Dallas in 2009, he worked in South Florida, New England, and New York / New Jersey performing geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services.&amp;nbsp; He also completed his master’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering at Cornell University in 2003.&amp;nbsp; Once in Dallas, he has continued working with local, regional, and national clients and leading small to large operations.&amp;nbsp; He completed his MBA at Purdue University in 2025 and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;He, his wife Jenn, and his family of 3 kids live in Flower Mound.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
