About the Speaker:
Mr. Waddell concentrates his practice on the representation of design professionals in every aspect of the profession. His representation includes services from contract to completion and defending professional negligence He is consistently retained by ENR Top 50 firms and many of the nation’s largest professional liability carriers to defend design professionals. Through his collaborative and resolution-oriented approach to the defense, Mr. Waddell has assisted his clients in avoiding litigation in some of the most significant design claims asserted in Texas including Allen Stadium. In addition, Mr. Waddell has negotiated over 2,000 contracts for his clients related to the design and/or construction of significant projects—some of which involve professional fees in excess of $60,000,000. Based on his significant experience, he is a frequent speaker at seminars and conventions regarding issues related to professional liability, trial practice and issues affecting the design and construction industries.
